MedArticle is an open-access scientific journal in the health sciences (ISSN 3121-2999). We accept manuscripts in Spanish and English.
What we publish
Original articles, review articles, case reports, editorials and letters to the editor.
We accept manuscripts from areas of the health sciences, including medicine, dentistry and nursing.
Main requirements
- Unpublished work. A similarity check is applied, with a maximum of 10%.
- Compliance with the Declaration of Helsinki and written informed consent where applicable.
- Conflict-of-interest statement.
- Format: Times New Roman 12, single spacing, Vancouver-style references and a minimum length of 600 words.
- Structured abstract of up to 250 words, in Spanish and in English, and at least 4 keywords (DeCS thesaurus).
- Up to 6 authors, with ORCID, institutional affiliation and country.
- Manuscript without author names, for double-blind peer review.
- Cover letter.

Process and timeline
Initial editorial review followed by double-blind peer review. Our target time to communicate a decision is 30 days from receipt of the manuscript. This is a working goal, not a guarantee.

Costs
Submitting and evaluating a manuscript is free of charge. An article processing charge (APC) of USD 167 applies only if the article is accepted. Nothing is charged if the article is not accepted. If you have financial constraints, please ask about waivers by email at medarticle25@gmail.com before submitting.
Access and licence
Immediate open access, Creative Commons CC BY 4.0 licence and a DOI for every article. Authors retain their copyright.

- Complete the details and upload the manuscript without author names, the cover letter and, where applicable, the informed consents.
